Your Money
It’s Time to Understand Your Investments
Given current market volatility, events happening around the world, and a changing market landscape, Lisa shares insight into ARK’s actively managed client portfolios in a relatable way. Industry terminology can make your eyes glaze over. While we all like to look and sound smart, it is most important to understand how your money is managed, to include the tools your advisor utilizes to take advantage of the ever-changing market (i.e. style) trends.
Our objective is to create a link between your core values and goals with your financial path.

Managing Your Wealth
Growing Your Money Tree
After a thorough values-based planning process, if you decide to let us pilot your investment journey, we will provide investment management through asset allocation and investment selection that adapts to the ever-changing market scene. The focus will be on growing your assets (in essence, your money tree), while pruning laggard branches and nurturing healthy branches to mature over time.
Judgement-Free Meeting Zone
Sometimes financial terms can seem like a different language. The fear of the unknown, the embarrassment of asking a “stupid” question, or worry of judgement often inhibits one from seeking the advice of a financial planner. At ARK, we pride ourselves on offering a completely judgement-free meeting zone. Our hope is that with a combined 40+ years of experience in this industry, we can explain complicated financial terms in a relatable, understandable way to bring comfort and ease rather than anxiety and stress to your life.
Asset Allocation
Asset Allocation is one of these commonly used industry terms. Asset Allocation is like being on a vacation and deciding what activities to plan. You know you want to allocate your time to staying busy with tourist attractions, as well as relaxing. Investment selection takes asset allocation to the next step by further choosing the specific activities (e.g., investments) you will participate in once allocating how to spend your time. Do you go to the museum or the amusement park? Do you go to the beach or the spa? Of course, over time, travel plans change, often times for reasons outside of our control…similar to that of the investment landscape. As we adapt to varying travel plans, we also adapt to the ever-changing market environment using technical math driven analytics to help you invest your money with confidence, and work to grow your money tree over time.
Point & Figure Charting
The investment methodology referred to above is known as Point & Figure Charting, and has been around for more than 100 years. This methodology provides us an objective, logical, organized way of recording the forces of supply and demand within any particular investment. If there are more buyers than sellers, demand takes over, causing the price to rise, and vice versa. To put it another way, when you decide on a vacation activity, it is usually by way of a family majority vote (i.e., demand) causing the value of that activity to rise.
Rules-Based Methodology
We believe the true power of this rules-based methodology is the reduction of outside factors, such as emotion, coming into play when making crucial investment decisions for our clients’ hard-earned savings.
